There are a few other alternate highspeed alternatives currently being developed and tested. The big
one I feel has the best chance at going mainstream is the Broadband Satelite Technology option. A
two foot wide satalite dish is about all you should need to access this wireless Internet technology.
This technology is still about 2 years from becoming a player in the residential market but it is a good
alternative for small to medium businesses looking for high speed/large bandwith internet access.
